From the estate of Mary Anna Marten, godchild of the Queen Mother and an interesting figure on the political landscape, clashing on several occasions with Winston Churchill. She lived at Crichel House in Dorset and we believe that Christie signed the books for her sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The books were bound together in leather in groups of five, but were not very attractive, so we have separated them and put each into maroon cloth, lettered and bordered in gilt, with a...
