Two book plates of former owners on front endpapers. One is a rather nice custom bookplate of Belle Ward Scudder, probably about 90 to 100 years old. The other is a more recent blank bookplate with a woodblock design in the style of Rockwell Kent, and the owner's signature at bottom (Lewis Levi). Board slightly bowed, with a touch of soiling to cloth. Binding a bit shaken, but contents tight and unmarked. Overall, in good plus condition.
