P.G. Wodehouse was, surprisingly, once as well known for his work in the theatre as he was for his novels. Indeed, he provided the book, contributed lyrics or adapted the translations to nearly 50 Broadway and London shows. The earliest of them, Sergeant Bruce, dates from 1904, while the last, Come on Jeeves, appeared half a century later. Here is commemorated this half-forgotten aspect of P.G. Wodehouse's career. More than 100 colour and B&W illustrations from contemporary programmes, posters and photographs have been reproduced from collections in England and America. [via]
