About the book:

Egypt's Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, is 4000 years old, yet it represents a technical achievement that would not be easily reproduced today. Its stones--weighing up to 70 tons--are so finely cut as to give joints less than one-fiftieth of an inch thick; its corners are exactly aligned to the cardinal points of the compass (long before compasses were invented); and its outer casing is polished to a standard of accuracy to be found in modern optical work.

So vast and ancient and inexplicably perfect an achievement has attracted a welter of theories as to its true purpose and meaning. Lemesurier's book divides into two parts. In the first, he explores in great detail the Great Pyramid's miraculous construction, locates it within its proper historical context, and outlines the architectural and numerical factors which he believes contain a prophetic code. This message emerges as nothing less than a "blueprint for human evolution".

In the second part of his book Lemesurier argues that the reading he has unearthed bears a striking resemblance to the biblical Old Testament. All of which makes the Pyramid's predictions about our future the more compelling. "The Great Pyramid contains a detailed prophecy in mathematical code", he writes, "a prophecy whose main purpose appears to be the validating of just such a redemptive or Messianic plan for mankind as appears to have been outlined by Jesus of Nazareth".

This is not an easy book, in that its argument is complex and highly challenging (especially if you are not a Christian!). But it is sumptuously presented, crammed with fascinating material, and sure to delight anyone fuelled--like its author--with that insatiable desire to get to the bottom of things. --Dan Fielder
