The book then moves on to explain the authors' techniques for breaking down problems into components and figuring out systems of interrelated objects that can be used as designs for programs. Interestingly, the authors devote part of their book to implementing object-oriented solutions in non-object-oriented languages--mainly C, Ada, and Fortran. There's also a great discussion of implementing object-oriented designs in relational database environments.
