The ILOLEX CD-ROM contains the trilingual (English, French, Spanish) database of the International Labour Organisation relating to international labour standards together with its computer program (search and retrieval software). It was first issued in September 1992, and will be updated annually, commencing with ILOLEX 1993. Each language version contains the ILO Conventions, ILO Recommendations, the Triannual Report of the Committee on Freedom of Association from 1985, Comments of the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations from 1987, the Annual Report of the Conference Committee on the Application of Standards from 1987, the Reports of Committees and Commissions established under articles 24 and 26 of the ILO Constitution to investigate representations and complaints, ratification lists by Convention and by country, and the ILO Constitution. ILOLEX 1993 has been updated to 1st January 1994. It has improved hypertext functions and a multi-language facility has been added, which enable the user to switch from one language database to another. Other technical improvements have been made in the substance of the database and printing and downloading facilities, making ILOLEX 1993 both an updated and better information resource. The ILOLEX CD-ROM will be of interest to academic and other institutional libraries involved with labour law, as well as to the `ILO-Constituency', and to all persons studying or practising in the field of human rights.
