Kuralt's longtime friend and CBS colleague Peter Freundlich, who wrote and produced the American Moment series for television in collaboration with Kuralt, has edited and collected the essays for this book. The result is a collection of enchanting and sometimes touching stories that brings back Charles Kuralt's distinctive voice and celebrates the quintessential American character and traditions that he so loved.
